I've had a shroom trip that was very intense(no pun) and made me leave the group for the less stimulating tent, the problem was that the fractals only got more overwhelming and I ended up curling up for what felt like eternity but turned out to be not more than 10-20 minutes, before I joined my friends again. I had no idea ecstasy can make you trip like what you experienced, I thought it was much more a stimulant than a hallucinogenic.
