Recently, I've not been able to keep up with everything. I've been going late to the workshop, not had enough time to write posts, my 63 day duolingo streak came to an end, and so on. So I decided to create a schedule. Initially I wanted to just keep it in mind like the other things, but after getting to the workshop late again I decided not to procrastinate. I did a lot of reading and now though I'm still organizing my schedule at the moment, I should be able to share a few tips.
First of all, you write down all of your activities. Daily or weekly, anything you normally do, just write it down. Then you mark them according to level of importance. You can put an asterisk in front of important tasks, put two asterisks in front of very important tasks, and no asterisk in front less important tasks. You can do anything you feel like doing (it's your schedule after all)
Now, you allocate a certain time to each of them. You don't necessarily have to give an exact time unless you feel like. You can divide your day into three or four.
Example : Morning (6am-11am), mid-day (11am-1pm), afternoon (1pm- 4pm), evening (4pm-6pm), night(6pm - 10pm)
Then you put your tasks under the heading as you like it.
You can then create a table where you write down weekly tasks and things you would like to achieve. Then you add them to your daily schedule as you like. A friend of mine also advised me to use an app called time planner. I'm still trying to figure the app out so I won't be talking about it.
Following your schedule won't be easy at first, but with time it will get easier. At times unexpected things may happen and you won't be able to follow your schedule that day. It's ok as long as you go back to it the next day. Also you can adjust it, if it's not convenient for you.
I think the major importance is time management. It saves time when you already know what to do at a given time,as a result productivity is increased. It also helps to build healthy habits, It gives one a sense of control over their life.
All in all having a schedule is a very good idea as it helps you track your progress and achieve your goals. One step at a time.
Thanks for taking your time to read this post, your support and feedback is very appreciated. Have a wonderful day.
