Garbage is a source of money to survive.
I saw this scene when I was in the village of Alue Liem, Lhokseumawe, Aceh Province.
A number of residents were seen earning fortune from piles of garbage
The pile of trash is like a mountain, the task is to make money and survive. This makes me study and reflect when I'm in their midst.
Under the scorching sun, they are plastic waste scavengers who open up pieces of plastic and other discarded waste one by one.
They are very patient
scavenging trash, after collecting plastic, aluminum cans they can sell.
They feel grateful for the work they do to survive.
