I want to be very upfront about this post. This is my personal biased view about the current lunacy that is the Trump Administration, and also what happened to Trumps billionaire financier and enforcer Elon Musk :) What happened to him is widely expected, and I must say I am happy for it. Got himself a black eye, didn't he! :) :) Served him right! I can't help but watch a bit on Jon Stewart at the Daily Show! The true news worthy television these days I must say!
Well since this is a financial channel, and that aligns with my interest. I went ahead and plotted current Tesla quarterly revenue trend, and took the liberty of projecting it!
Mind you back in the days buying a Tesla was a statement. It was a statement that you are a liberal. Somewhere along the line, as Musk gotten more and more right wing, those left-liberal Tesla purchaser were left-standing. Especially during the last election season things gotten so extreme that they don't know how to get rid of their cars! Not that there is a re-sale market for Tesla or any electric vehicle for that matter.
Being Trump's henchman at the Government, Musk, the drug addict lunatic, alienated multiple generation of people, both side of the isle, including people who voted for Trump! Tariffs made the whole administration enemy number one in Europe. As you can see from the plot above that half of their sales is coming of Europe and China. What do you think is happening to those sales figures?!
There you have it! Stock is down from its ~$500 post-election euphoric high to below ~$300 today!
If I take the post election high to recent low in April, that is $1300B market cap to about $560B! That is more than 50% value destruction for the shareholders. Now, I don't like to project price, so I have no idea where the price of TSLA will be in future. However, if I am a shareholder, I will be concerned! Thankfully, I am not :) So I don't give a damn!!
Run it to the ground I say!
