I must say, Death is my favorite splinter. I don't know when I started playing death more and more. Most likely after Oyster Rotwell was released is when my leaning towards the death splinter increased. Then after CL release, with the new Amplify ability, magic reflect in death is unstoppable. In additional Death has access to most cards with redemption and weaken. Together it is an ideal combination. The set up below is a 21 mana battle set up but can be used with higher and lower mana with many variation.
In this battle, both team is magic heavy and using the amplify set up. Bulldog is a very solid player, although he is relatively new comer compared to many, but he has a top level gaming prowess. So we are both leaving magic reflect and amplify, but I won simply because I have three monster with Weaken. Also not to mention Magi Necrosi with snipe and oppress is a major force!
Here is the identical set up but with a melee team now. Kraken up-front is always problematic, but again, with weaken and redemption, the opponenets entire back line can be wiped out with a single redemption. Then it is just a matter of time.
