Widely available at Amazon still, but expensive now at $24 for 100. I buy Astra. For me they are very good and $9 for 100. PS Sputnik is $45 for 100; that is INSANE!

Gillette aluminum was a popular razor. I think he must have mostly used this one as a travel razor. It very light. I have it anodized now. I love it. Oh! I am very familiar with Sputnik blades. I grew

I highly recommend you start with a DE razor, a brush, and a good soap like Proraso, TOBS etc like I mentioned here and your experience will be relaxing. DE razor is easy enough to use.

I have used straight razors, but they are much harder to use and very difficult to maintain, especially in the US. So I mostly use Double Edge Razor. Regarding brush, I find the synthetic hair brushes
