Gillette aluminum was a popular razor. I think he must have mostly used this one as a travel razor. It very light. I have it anodized now. I love it.

Oh! I am very familiar with Sputnik blades. I grew up in the West Bengal in the 80s. Russian blades were common there. I think I can still get Sputnik blades in Amazon.
