In the United States right now is the season of Presidential Politics. The general election is less three weeks away, and country is tense. In the era of the Orange Man, the politics in the United States, just like many other countries of the world have turned right wing and ugly. Gone are the days when we used to have intelligent and educated discussion about politics from either parties. Now we mostly watch and counter conspiracy theories and cat memes!

Such is life! But thank god for The Kiffness!

For those who do not know who "The Kiffness" is, he is around for a long time. A solid YouTuber with 2.9M subscriber, the kiffness made our life just a little bit happer over the years.

David Scott (born 11 February 1988), also known by his stage name the Kiffness,[2] is a South African musician, producer, and parody artist who is the founder and lead singer of the band the Kiffness. Despite the band's name, Scott is referred to as the Kiffness alone

His work on the Orange Man will go down in history books. If you need YouTube influencers, this is the kind you want.

This next part may seem like a rant, but it is what it is, you just deal with it, because I do the same.

Ok, that out of the way, let us see what the dog actually barking about:

1. He wants to start taking 25% of the DAO earning and buying SPS

2. He says it woud be about 500K SPS/month at current prices

3. He suggests this because this will potentially replenish SPS reward pool

As such there is nothing fundamentally wrong with the suggestion. Anyone can suggest anything, and say anything to anyone, here or on fucking X. However, you have to be ready for the consequences, because

The other side can do magic too!

If you feel strongly about the suggestion, cough up the 100K DEC and run a proposal, eh?

Why we wouldn't buy SPS

Well because that is stupid! We are talking about a DEC flywheel for a while. When SPS is cheap, like it is now, we like for the DEC to get to peg and sliightly higher, so that there is incentive to burn SPS for DEC, which reduces the SPS inflation and increases the price of SPS. Plus:

1. DAO owns a lot of SPS
2. DAO swaped a lot of stables, which we need to replenish
3. DAO now pays a lot of salaries, we can't pay most of them in SPS
4. Hive/HBD is earing dividend for us, we should compound it, and when the time is right (meaning when hive is higher than 50 cents) we can consider taking some of our earnings into stables

I hated to elaborate there on discord so I said:

Hive value > SPS value

Apparently a lot of people including the dog didn't like that. I don't know why. Because I was stating a fact. As of this writing:

Hive Price = $0.198
SPS Price = $0.0084

Clearly as of now price of Hive is about 23X higher than SPS. This is a fact. That is all that I was pointing to. Also hive's current marketcap is much higher than that of SPS. In future what will happen I have no idea, neither does anyone else. That is speculation. I have significant amount of hive assets and also significant amount of Splinterlands assets, so I am well diversified to take advantage of whatever happens to the price.
