Yeah, it's pretty hot now in the Baja! Usually this is shoulder season in Cabo. August and September is typically very hot here. However, few days back I was checking the temperature here, and I saw Highs in the high 80s and lows in high 70s (this is Degrees F) at both San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, the two main towns of Cabo, the southernmost tip of Baja California Mexico. Now this could be very hot for a lot of you, but I live in Houston, and temperature now are pushing 100F with 70% humidity! So for me, this is totally okay. I thought I better take the family to Cabo. This is useful for us, because my wife works from home, and she can work from anywhere. I have a lot of vacation, so I take some. Kids are out of school now, for summer holidays, so if they stay home, either we have to set up some summer camp program for them, or they will stay home and watch YouTube. This is perhaps better :)
This is Westin Los Cabos, where we are staying for 7 days. This is a nice hotel. It has typical hotel rooms and also apartments where you have multiple room and kitchen. I like the ability to cook while on vacation. This saves time in morning, as we don't have to go out for breakfast, also keep people healthy as few breakfast places offer fruits and vegetables as choices.
The view from the place is nice. It is right on the beach overlooking the ocean. It has nice infinity pools. Several to be precise and lots of activity for the kids. Surf is too high for the kids to be in the ocean here. But there are beaches nearby where they can go and play.
I took them to East Cape Road, which is a very special experience. For people who don't know, Baja Peninsula is well known for its dirt roads. Outside a couple of major highways, there are not many paved roads in the Baja. Most of Baja is sparsely populated and only connected by dirt roads. I think many of you heard about Baja 500...

Yeah, the long distance motorcross across the peninsula, that is done mostly on roads like the East Cape Road.

East Cape Road is secluded and have some of the most wonderful beaches to compete to the best beaches of the world. I will try and write a bit more about them later, but if you like a good introduction, here is one :
