A Night To Remember

Here is the item related to CUB Finance that is taking the Hive/LEO world by storm. Until I saw this link, I didn't see the chart of CUB token anywhere. CUB is only 5 days old, so it is understandble that many haven't seen the chart of CUB. So folks, here's your opportunity!

Excellent place to get CUB chart

CUB was launched on the afternoon of March 8th. I was away from my computer at the time, but I started to notice the webpage and all the rush during the first evening. This was well before the airdrop of course, and it took me a while to decide what to do. The webpage is gorgeous and self-explanatory with excellent documentation of course. But, my main hesitation was, to stake or not to stake. I am not new to the liquidity pool at all. I was in uniswap, and even for several months at Pancake Swap. Still I hesitated. As I was procrastinating, on the first night, a massive rally began to take place. I saw in awe as the price rallied from $4 to $14 in 6 hours! I did stake a tiny bit on the first night, but nothing like I have heard a lot of other people did, especially the core members of the Leo team. I applaud their courage!

Then from the morning of the 9th, the price look a steady decline, and I continue to reevaluate my game plan. At this point I was confident that I will stake substantial amounts, but the question was when. The first thought was of course the Airdrop, which people were eagerly anticipating. Personally, I didn't have much Leo staked (only about 4600), so that was not my issue. I was mostly thinking that after the airdrop, there will be sell off, and I can buy the token after that sell off. In the mean time, the other element I was concerned about is the CUB token's Emission Rate.

The above token economics suggests that CUB will generate at 3 tokens/block during the first week. As a stakeholder, this is the most lucrative week to collect tokens and stake more. See, this concept works in the opposite direction of waiting for a price drop, because that takes time. But that time erodes from the time a stakeholder can be in the pool for week 1. I staked a bit more, but still largely waited on the 11th. I saw price stabilised around $3.5 and slowly began to rally. Also TVL (Total Value Locked) for all the farms continue to rise. At this point I decided to pull the trigger. I started to buy CUB by moving a lot of my idle crypto assets which were stagnant in many exchanges and wallets. The night of the 12th turned out to be an exciting one. As many of us discussed CUB, and watch our assets grow. At this point in time, I like the health of the token and the farm. TVL is currently 9.5 Million and steadily climbing. With still 2+7 = 9 days to go before CUB generation gets to 1 token/block, I say there is a long way to go.

The thing that I enjoyed during the last couple of nights is the sense of community, and deep connections that some of us felt over discussions of economics, crypto, financial freedom, books, movies and just pure fun. Without this social network of Hive, I don't think this would have been possible.

Hey! Connection can be various types, that is all that I am saying :)
