Previously I shared my experience about revisiting Rajasthan after 10 years and getting to see its beauty once again. Even after such a long time, for some reason the place still feels the same.
All the temples, forts, havelis, and everything else feels familiar, even if I've only been there for 2-3 times. Seeing some of my old relatives was definitely a big surprise too.
The last time I saw them or any of this, I was a kid running around being a brat and climbing up places I wasn't supposed to. Seems like forever since those days passed.
One of the ways I think they have really developed in the last few years is by starting to use wind energy. In a place with a lot of empty space, it's a great idea and a necessity as the need for power is slowly increasing.
I'm pretty sure you guys know what a rickshaw is at this point. If you don't, you're lying. It's incredible to see how people in Rajasthan who barely survive driving these rickshaws for a living, still believe in making their ride look beautiful.

Did I mention that there is just an abundance of temples? I'm not even kidding, you can find a temple no matter which direction you head. From the top of mountains to the middle of the desert to the center of cities, they are just everywhere.

For once, when we went to pray in one of the temples on the slope of a mountain near my grandpa's haveli, it felt like those big rocks were about to fall down on us.
Would have been a not-so-happy ending to our journey if that happened lol. But it was definitely interesting to see them so close.
Even if I don't get to travel that much, I'm still very grateful for every time that I do. There's something about seeing these things 10 years later that just hit me. It felt like I went back in time.
Life there is still so much more simple than the ever-busy life most of us are a part of. Makes you want to zoom out and think deeply about what truly do you want out of life, and if peace is a bigger priority for you than prosperity.
