Compared to something like Facebook where you don't make anything.. I'd say a couple hundred for posting for almost a year is pretty cool!

Exactly. People still post updates about their lives and all sorts of other stuff on their social media accounts already but don't earn anything from it. I think Facebook has realized that already and that's why they are soon releasing their own cryptocurrency Libra.

I think if you genuinely care about what you're doing that will shine through your words, and if you're just trying to make money or not doing it for genuine reasons from your heart then people will often be able to sense that as well.

Exactly. Your beliefs are strongly reflected in the work that comes out of you, especially in something as creative as writing. It's better to think about why you want to write before you actually make that decision to start a blog.

It's just pages and pages and pages and pages long, lol. Though much better I think to have a list and be able to pick and choose and prioritize what's important than to forget it all!

That's so relatable haha! My list is getting so damn long that I often just take the most recent ideas and forget to check out the older ones. I might wanna start seeing the older ones too. Pretty sure there are some good ones hiding in there!

Some people can get by without doing that especially if they are so huge they can't even keep up with the messages anymore, though especially in the beginning when yo're smaller I think it's critical and sort of what social media is all about.. "SOCIALizing".. Not just ramming your content down other peoples throats so to speak, but a give and take.. It goes both ways and if you just try to take without giving I think that's a recipe for difficulty down the road.

Very well put. Especially in the very beginning, socializing is a necessity, not an option. How else are you going to connect with people? Your posts only reach your existing followers, which are already pretty less when first starting out. To keep your existing followers and gather new ones, communication is key.

This is one of the main things I tell all newcomers to steem, not just to put out good content that people like, but to socialize and leave comments and go to other peoples pages and interact.. That will go a long ways towards making a better experience on here or just about any social media really.

Some other good tips at the end there as well. Especially the contests, communities.. They are pretty important on steem I think. That's usually the third plank of my advice to newcomers so from my perspective you covered most of what's important including the markdown stuff, great job! Another excellent entry.
