It's been almost an year since I started my blogging journey on Steemit

Congrats on almost a year of being here! Even with such a low value of steem your account is still worth a couple hundred dollars, not bad! I forget what my stats looked like a year in so it's hard to compare, plus the value is so much different now but.. Compared to something like Facebook where you don't make anything.. I'd say a couple hundred for posting for almost a year is pretty cool!
Also it's too late to edit it and fix it now but it should be "a" instead of "an".

your main focus should always be quality, and making your article not just informative but also enjoyable to read.

That's some good advice! I think people may have different goals on here though making your posts enjoyable to read should I think be one of the main goals for sure!

The reason why so many people struggle to get attention on their blog is not because their content simply isn't worth it, but because they don't even know why they started writing in the first place.
And no, "to make money of course" doesn't count as a reason. Money is a consequence of the value that you provide to the platform. It is not your "why," it's your "what."

Well said. I think if you genuinely care about what you're doing that will shine through your words, and if you're just trying to make money or not doing it for genuine reasons from your heart then people will often be able to sense that as well.

To counter this, just simply make an "Ideas" list in your phone and write down any ideas that come to your mind as soon as possible. This way, you also have a storage from where you can just take topics if you can't seem to think of anything to write about.

Great suggestion! I've been doing that for years and it's been INCREDIBLY helpful. However.. Unfortunately it's got to the point where my list has too many things on it and many I'll likely never get to.. It's just pages and pages and pages and pages long, lol. Though much better I think to have a list and be able to pick and choose and prioritize what's important than to forget it all!

Lastly, one of the most important parts in writing an interesting blog post, isn't even about writing a post at all. It's about interacting with the people who commented on your post and communicating about your idea with them.
A big part of what makes a good writer great, is his willingness to talk about the topic with other people with honesty and curiosity. This is something that people often don't understand (including me at times) that what attracts readers the most is how ready the writer is to communicate with them directly, and not through their blog.

Solid advice there and one of the most important things in my opinion.
Some people can get by without doing that especially if they are so huge they can't even keep up with the messages anymore, though especially in the beginning when yo're smaller I think it's critical and sort of what social media is all about.. "SOCIALizing".. Not just ramming your content down other peoples throats so to speak, but a give and take.. It goes both ways and if you just try to take without giving I think that's a recipe for difficulty down the road.

This is one of the main things I tell all newcomers to steem, not just to put out good content that people like, but to socialize and leave comments and go to other peoples pages and interact.. That will go a long ways towards making a better experience on here or just about any social media really.

Some other good tips at the end there as well. Especially the contests, communities.. They are pretty important on steem I think. That's usually the third plank of my advice to newcomers so from my perspective you covered most of what's important including the markdown stuff, great job! Another excellent entry.
