As-sallam Alaikum Waramotullahi Wabarakatuhu
I congratulates Us for witnessing another noble month on earth, The Month Of Ramadan
Fasting during the month ofRamadan is obligatory because it's one of the pillars of Islam. During the month of Ramadan, Muslims are obligated to fast from dawn to sunset.
Fasting requires the abstinence from food and drinks.
Sexual relations are not allowed between dawn (Fajr) and sunset (Magrib).
Anger, violence, gossip, greed, lust, backbiting, and others form of impurities of thought and actions are not allowed in the month of Ramadan.
Fasting during the month of Ramadan is considered as an act of deeply personal worship, in which Muslims seek a raised level of closeness to Allah
Fasting is a way of connecting with Allah with prayers by purifying our souls from SHIRK.
Ramadhan inspires the Muslims to live according to the dictate of Allah
Muslims are expected to get along with each other better than normal during the month of Ramadan.
Zakat (Charity) is very important in Islam and even more soon Ramadan, Zakat is obligatory as one of the pillars of Islam. A fixed percentage of the person savings is required to be given to the less privileged.
In Islam, All good deeds are more handsomely rewarded during Ramadan than in any other Months of the year.
Muslims will invoke Zakat (Charity) before or after the new moon sighting for the beginning of Shawwal
The benefits of Zakat includes:
Zakat fills the gap between the rich and the poor.
Zakat create an harmonious atmosphere for both the rich and the poor.
Zakat reduces, or eliminates social conflicts and strengthens the growth of the less privileged.
Zakat acts as balancing factor that emphasizes both the importance of worldly earnings and the eternal importance of life in the eternal abode.
Ramadan is also the month of Laylat al-Qadr, The night of Decree, night of Power, night of Value.
This os the night when the first verse of the Quran were first revealed to our Prophet Muhammad ( Peace And Blessings Be Upon Him). It's the one of the nights in the last ten days of Ramadan
This is the night the blessings and mercy of Allah will be abundant.
Sins will be forgiven.
Supplementations will be accepted.
The night is not comparable to any other months, the reward of act of worship during this single night is more than reward 1,000 months of worship (83years) Allah U Akbar
Accept our fasting as a form of worship
Give us the grace to witness another Ramadan
** Help us to live our lives according to HIS dictate after Ramadan.**
Masha Allah
I will write about the benefits of Fasting during Ramadan next.
Stay safe
