Bullying or bullying can happen anywhere and anytime, including at home and school, which are the two most comfortable places for students. Cases of bullying for students at home and by those closest to them have often happened. Likewise with cases in schools that are fatal.

The Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) revealed that most cases of bullying against children were dominated by elementary school (SD) students. It is known, there are 25 cases or 67 percent recorded by KPAI and submitted through direct and online complaints from January to April 2019.

This condition inspired Malikussaleh University students to educate about bullying for students at SD Negeri 8 Juli in Bireuen Regency, Aceh, Indonesia. The students who are doing real work lectures, provide education about bullying to students to suppress the occurrence of such disgraceful cases in the school environment.

He is a student who is doing a real work course (KKN) Group 135 in Juli Seutuy, Bireuen, who took the initiative to socialize bullying against elementary school students.

The head of Group 135, Muhammad Ihsan, said that education about bullying was one of their programs during the one-month KKN activity. “Kids are also happy to get material about bullying. It turns out that there are so many everyday things that unknowingly fall into the type of bullying," said Muhammad Ihsan, recently.

Ihsan added, bullying behavior has actually been very widespread in the world of education without realizing its form and consequences. Bullying is a bad deed done by one person or more to another person. The bad deeds in question can be in the form of things that hurt physically, such as hitting, pushing, and others.

“It can also hurt verbally, for example mocking appearances, insulting abilities, and many more. The act of avoiding and isolating someone is also an act of bullying," added the Civil Engineering student.

The activity was carried out in two sessions. For the first session, socialization was given to students in grades 1-3. Then the second session of socialization was followed by students in grades 4-6. "We started the socialization by explaining the meaning of bullying, the division of bullying, the factors of bullying, and the impact of bullying," added a member of Group 135, Ocha Mareta, who said that the selection of activities at SD Negeri 8 Juli was his own initiative because he hoped that socialization could reduce the impact of bullying. bullying behavior.

The students of SD Negeri 8 Juli seemed very enthusiastic about listening and understanding the material about bullying. One of the 6th graders, Afiq (12 years old) asked the question, "Sis, what will be the effect if we bully a friend?"

This question was answered by a member of the Group 135 KKN by providing further understanding of the bad effects of bullying.

According to Ihsan, this socialization activity also has another goal, namely to foster a sense of courage and confidence in children from an early age. Ihsan et al give appreciation to elementary school students who dare to ask questions and dare to answer. Students give gifts in the form of notebooks and pencils. "This is expected to be an encouragement and a motivation for children to grow up to be brave children," he said.

The presence of Malikussaleh University Community Service Program students Group 135 to provide an understanding of bullying for elementary school students was welcomed by the principal and teachers at SD Negeri 8 Juli. The principal and teachers there support student community service activities at the school.

Under the guidance of lecturer Jufridar MSM, Group 135 consisted of Muhammad Ihsan, Sultan Syahril, Nasrullah, Summia Mayelas, from the Civil Engineering Study Program. Then Putri Purnama Desky, Marika, Ocha Mareta, and Rauzatul Jannah from the Sociology Study Program. [Ayi Jufridar]
