Google says that all the data centers and offices of the company will work with renewable energy to be purchased. Given that more than a billion regular Gmail users, millions of hours of YouTube video viewers, Google consumes an incredible amount of energy almost as much as San Francisco. Google will adhere to agreements by the end of the year and will only use other types of energy when it is forced to do so, for example, when it is unable to manufacture because it does not receive enough sunlight.
The good news is that Google is not the only company that promises environmentally friendly energy consumption. Apple's announcement that 93% of its worldwide operations are renewable energy, and that the company will support projects that will generate 4 gigawatts of clean energy by 2020.
