The overwhelming emotions
Clutter and chop the bits and pieces of my heart, rousing ungodly sensations, flipping the pages of my feelings with wild fantasies...

My thoughts are flailing wildly,
My imaginations are lit with the torch of forbidden adventures as my mind wanders on the highway of imminent death.

Death has come to me, disguised in an avalanche of lustful cravings and inclinations, dressed in a charming apparel with a wand that seems to manipulate my will anytime it's pointed at me.

My frame seems vulnerable, my resolve seems broken and I hang on to dear life.
Yielding to this will end me up in a crisis I'm not ready for and prove to my adversaries that I'm still their slave.

So I pray the best I know how and self distracts by focusing on "whatsoever things are pure..." as I enjoy a few games on my phone.

Sleep eventually teases my eyelids but I choose to write this poem first.
At this juncture I can be grateful that I weathered the storm by the help of God and His Spirit.

I can now say goodbye to all this drama and find some rest in the arms of the King.
It is well with us, AMEN.
