As a business development officer, my primary aim is to see to it that individuals who aspire to be business owners are well trained and equipped with the support they need to make their dreams come true. Everyone can start a business, but it only takes a more determined person to be a successful businessperson. We worked to extend a helping hand to everyone, be it an existing business or a start-up.
My outfit offers training opportunities and provides start-up kits to people, especially women.
Sometime ago, we distributed a soap-making machine to two women in the district, and to my surprise, these women are truly doing an amazing and incredible thing with the training and support they received from our outfit.
They set up a miniature trade show to display their work as part of their effort to gain more recognition from the general public.
In fact, it was a fantastic show because they not only displayed their goods but also demonstrated to the audience how they were made.
We only sent two women to a training to learn how to make soap, but the results are fantastic because they are now training the entire community in the soap-making process.
Madam Mariam, one of the Owners, is passionate about encouraging young women in her society to take on a challenge that will transform their lives forever.
Witnessing how these women were very eager to learn is something that I enjoyed the most. Everyone in the room was interested in learning how soap was made.
I think the amount of unemployment in the nation will eventually decline thanks to the training we are providing to people.
