So the next Meeting ,was actually at the Mall of Africa on the Friday at 1700 hrs just outside the Food Court , where we Registered and chose out of a Hat the Genre we would be working with!

Turned out to be Horror and certain key phrases had to appear.

One more little item to add to the Macabre, the main artist was chosen for his flowing locks, and when he turned up for the Filming , was destitute of them?,

( perhaps sold to assist with funding for a Homeless Shelter?)

Rushed off to Tammy's Townhouse ( Richard's daughter) where the first part was filmed, Where Kyle is going out to perform and play , as well as the abduction scene.

We used an old Blind I brought for adjusting lighting ambience in the first room, plus a Condenser Mike , and a BR900cd recorder I own , in addition Richard used his own Camera's Microphone , and we pretty much had a Mix of the 2.

Having never done this before, I could not believe how many re-takes are done to get a scene right!

We then on Saturday, moved to a Pub/Music Hall called Our Place, in Greymont area, where , inside and outside we did the rest.

Extensions all over the place and careful placement of Camera's and Crew , and Our Place was starting to fill up with Regulars.

I played the part of The Musical Agent/ Lucifer, and part of it was smoking that Cigar, Vile! Don't know how one gets into that?

From there we moved outside for Kyle being tossed out the door , ( something a local fellow was more than happy to do).

We were supposed to have a hose pipe to create a damp scene outside , but it had not come with , I brought a smoke machine for outside, and although used prodigiously , I do not see much of the effect?( we were using buckets of water on the paving)

Eventually , I cut a CD for Richard for the Sound , I had used my trusty VS-2480 for the Saturday , which I am far more comfortable with.

The Film had to be handed in before 1700 hrs on Saturday , Richard doing all the Production with editing assistance,

The Rendering takes hours and then it was discovered that there was a piece of filming missing!

Richard rushed through to the East Rand ( we are in the west) to obtain it.

End result , our entry arrived 12 minutes passed the deadline, meaning it would not be eligible for the prize , but would appear on the Big Screen.

Quite a letdown, but, always next year !

In case you are wondering , the excessively Good-Looking Old Guy wearing a Top Hat is me?
