Hello guys,

It's great to tell you that someone were able to organize a Free Spay/Neuter event for cats and dogs with the help of K9Aid International. They assisted 780 cats and dogs in just three days. I pitched in to help on my day off from work. We hope that most, if not all, of the pet owners followed the instructions for post-surgery care and purchased the necessary medications for their pets.

The organizers decided to provide the spay/neuter procedures for free and have pet owners buy the medicines themselves. This way, more pets could be spayed/neutered. Some local vet clinics also joined us as volunteers, and in return, they were allowed to sell products like medicines and supplements at a reduced cost. The event organizers even offered free anti-rabies vaccines, and when they ran out, local vet clinics generously shared their supply for free.

Various organizations in our country host these types of events. Some are private non-profits, and sometimes the local government also organizes similar events, although they usually only provide free anti-rabies vaccines annually.

Why did they held this event?

The aim of this event was to reduce the number of pets having babies, especially those that wander outdoors. By doing this, we can lower the chances of pets having babies that nobody wants, and that, in turn, can help reduce the number of animals being left on the streets.

In many places all over the world, there are areas where animals living on the streets are not taken care of and are sometimes seen as pests. These animals often experience really cruel treatment and are sometimes killed in a very harsh manner. It would be much better in these countries if the dogs didn't have babies, which would stop the cycle of them being treated badly. Spaying and neutering is the only known method to reduce the number of stray animals. By sterilizing stray animals and then letting them go back to the streets, we can keep their population stable.

3rd Day where I can fully volunteer

I didn't get a chance to help out during the first two days since it was still a working day for me. I came by for a few minutes during the 2nd day. They were so efficient it seemed like they were working on autopilot. It could be because they were used to it, or maybe the first two days had worn them out. On average, they only managed about 2 hours of sleep each day for those first two days. They told me I was lucky to be on the third day, as they started later and finished earlier. Even though I attended the event after work and ended up staying awake for 30 hours, I felt tired, but the drive to help the pets and their owners kept me going.

Give a Little Courage - GIVEAWAY

I believe this can be more than just another giveaway on the platform. It's something I hope will become a habit for everyone, even without the promise of prizes. The idea is simple: share a photo of yourself feeding or providing food and drinks to street animals, especially those that appear to be hungry and obviously dont have any owners. I want to make this as frequently as possible to help more animals and increase in general public awareness. I will use different tokens as prizes. This round will be 100 CENT token.

Random Rebloggers would also get Prize token.

Let's make a positive change.

*Payouts from this posts and previous posts alike will be use to help animals in any way I can. My plan is to buy some dog and cat food to be distributed every now and then to street dwelling animals, this is a short term plan. The long term plan, I think donating to legitimate shelters for rescued animals would be better in the long run. Total fund available as of now = 1.60 HBD

Random Reblogger = sent 5 LOLZ token
