Here's some brief thoughts on what I'm doing. The point is to exchange ideas, and if I'm way off base with regard to something hopefully someone (in this post, or in future posts) will speak up.
BTC is nearing 5k. The magic #? The next notch? Previous post I stated I sold between 4100 and 4400. I was sort of correct but I didn't expect BTC to bounce so quickly and had to buy back in. No problem. However; is 4800-4900 a good time to sell off some cryptos? I mean....remember what happened last time we encroached 3k. It dropped. So...I'm going to sell some.
I am going to buy silver online. Bought some today. It was easy and they (ask and I will tell you who I bought from--I'm not now because I don't want to seem like I'm promoting them) didn't require anything except my name and address. So...I did a test run and bought 6 1oz bars. Hell, why not diversify right? Though I hope selling back to $ wont be a pain in the butt months/years from now.
I'm not selling everything. Just taking some profits (I'm thinking 25-40% of my account). You should think about doing the same. Worst case scenario--you could have made more. I'll sleep better knowing I took some profit. Besides.....when was the last major pullback? I know I said that 1-2 weeks ago....but sooner or later you'd think it's gonna happen. Yes/No?!
Lastly. Remember to take profit when a coin goes straight up. For example. Weeks ago I bought NEO and..yeah....I sold a bit early at 42-43 and it went to 60. I felt bad for a moment, ...but then.....NEO is at 33 right now. My point---90-95% (I made these percentages up) of the time, if something skyrockets, it'll eventually plummet back down a bit.
Good luck. No limit coin is down a bit, but I'm still holding. Hell, it was up 10-30% per day for awhile. I'm in OMG and LTC too, and of course some Bitcoin. No, I'm not holding Verge. I was, and would have made 10-20%...but I couldn't hold it any longer and I made money with NEO anyways. So...good luck,...don't get too greedy.
