Whilst I was reading your post, I was thinking that much of the world doesn’t even know what life is like in Cuba, and more specifically in Havana. I haven’t experienced it to that extreme, but I have experienced water shortages, low water pressure, and water that comes out brown and even contains something that in Argentina is ant poison, as well as algae and other things that make the water undrinkable. The excuses are always the same, but the city’s oldest water pipe is over 100 years old and has never been maintained. That’s partly why I know what it’s like, it’s exhausting, stressful and leaves you feeling utterly powerless.
I also sincerely hope that the situation will turn around and that Cuba will be very different, with a dignified life for everyone. Thank you for telling it like it is; that’s how it should be. A big hug!💗
