Well some people will tell you the Law of Karma never existed in the 1st place. The strong do what they can, the weak suffer what they must, at least on the surface that is what it looks like to me. People can argue as much as you want about it. Law of the Jungle has always been the rule in the world. The law of Karma one on hand seems like a nothing but Dream for the oppressed, In reality there is no such thing as the law of karma. It is just a concept invented by people who were not strong enough to defend themselves against cheaters, bullies and evil people. The law of Karma is a classic ego defense mechanism employed by the oppressed people to make their lives more tolerable. They themselves are incapable of taking revenge, so they think that the law of karma will take care of their oppressor, in some way.
A butcher who cruelly slaughters animals for meat, why does the law of karma not apply to him, does the law of karma only apply to human beings, what about animals, doesn’t karma work for them? Millions of Chinese people were killed and tortured by Imperial Japanese Army, why did the law of karma not do anything to the Japanese ? Yeah, yeah they lost the war but compared to what they did to the Chinese, the Japanese were let off quite easily, and even a prosperous nation right now, all things considered Where did the law of Karma go, when 3,000 Sikhs were burnt to death in India after the death of Gandhi ? Where is the law of karma for the thousands of Palestinians that have been driven out of their homes and innocent children killed for decades now Where does the law of karma disappear when Kim Jong Un fattens himself up like a pig while starving and killing his own population ?, or where is the law of karma where corrupt politicians who embezzle get fatter and drive luxurious cars and live a comfortable life ehile their citizens continue to suffer and then those citizens got o their religious institutions tell them to have hope and pray that the law of karma will catch up to them and so things keep getting worse? Where was the law of Karma when Joseph Stalin put millions of Russians to death ? Joseph Stalin still lived a long and happy life, only his death was a little painful. What did the law of karma do to Ghenghis Khan and the mongols, who wiped out millions of people from the world ?
I’d give a little story here , There was this girl, Let's call her Mari, and so she marries a guy when she is 14 years old, It turns out that the guy is a bad person He physically assaults her, torments her body and soul day and night. Her husband's brother too were also bad people her, inflicting pain on her in the worst imaginable way( im trying to leave out some uncomfortable details here). Challenging the inevitability of afflictions, Mari murders her husband when she's aged 17. She's inside the jail, where she is beaten by jail authorities rivaling the very bruises her husband branded on her. She gets pregnant inside the cell. Still I do believe in Karma. Why? Because her husband, her husband’s brother and the jail authorities, the law men, all died under mysterious circumstances. I actually lied about the part in italics. No one died under mysterious circumstances. She was hung to death in 2018 Reference : https://www.amnesty.org.uk/iran-child-bride-executed-after-stillbirth

The narrative of course is different from another spectrum, there are people that believe in karma and karma has actually worked for them, you see people that cheated and bullied others coming back to be haunted later in life, maybe due to ill health or depression or some other form of punishment and if you are a religious person and believe in the day of judgement, then you know that the law of karma will rear its head in this word or in the hereafter(judgement day). In other words one way or the other everyone Is gonna get whats coming to them. Its quite simple of course if you do good, good will come back to you in some form or way and if you do bad, bad will come back to you in some form or way. Now the problem in a religious stand point is often that you don’t know for what good you did in the past, something good is happening to you now and in what form is it coming and so it might be overlooked, when good karma actually comes good, while if bad karma comes round it is always highlighted and brazen and so you find people focusing more on the “bad thing” that happens to them and not the numerous good things that has happened to them due to them being good at one point or the other.
Personally do I believe in karma, as a religious person, id say yes I do, but im also realistic enough to know that on this Earth, because you are good or selfless doesn’t mean good things will always happen to you and vice versa for the people who do bad.
