2020 is just about over and thank goodness. For some it has been an epic nightmare. Personally for me most of my goals for 2020 have been met. 2021 is around the corner and it may be an even more volatile year then 2020.
Bitcoin is once again in the spotlight as the legacy economy continues to zombify. Crypto as a whole appears to edging closer to mainstream adoption. Many wonder if 2021 is the year it all comes together?
Frankly there are a multitude of changes that I would like to see in the crypto sphere. I know nothing is perfect and that includes technology. However, blockchain is an ever changing creature. And there is a sure fire guarantee that things will be much different this time next year.
Which leads me to some of the things I would like to see in the crypto sphere. Ideas that may help adoption of blockchain technology as a whole.
Firstly, gamification apps in every iteration. Games as we all know are a billion dollar a year business. Yet, very few allow users to earn crypto. This obviously needs to change. The world is desperate not only for income but for a return to innocence.
Games can truly change the world. Combine with cryptocurrency and you have a recipe for fun. And life should be fun and not full of toil. So lets see if 2021 is the year of the gamification experience.
Secondly, the blockchain experience should be fun and seamless. Over the last week I have come across some projects that were created by some brainiacs. Frankly, everything about the projects were impressive. Yet, I asked myself this question: Would I use this platform? Or would my Kid use it?
The answer was no. And I am starting to see more of these projects that solve nothing. They produce nothing and give no value to it’s user base. But most importantly they are no fun to use. I get it your smart and you can code. Yet, if it isn’t a fun user experience what the hell is the point?
Financial inclusion for all people is the true purpose for blockchain. The legacy system in all it’s glory has left many people behind. All the while enslaving others with debt and loans.
I would like to see in 2021 more financial inclusion. Not only for the US but for all nations. Many people in today’s world lack a livable income. Blockchain can change this. This means there should be more “Free Currency” systems available.
And not the type of systems that I currently see. Some of these tokens have zero fungibility. Meaning there are no tradable market for exchange. Basically people are getting worthless shit tokens with no value. And this is insulting and frankly degrading.
Lastly, my hope for 2021 is that crypto can become the opposite of the legacy system. What is the point in creating a new system that mirrors the old. I get the fact that we need tradable markets. Although, at times it seems like another day at the casino. Yet, the ultimate goal for blockchain should be to create something unique.
Well, we shall see what the new year brings us. Hopefully 2021 will be a prosperous year for all.
