# Getting up there! - Splinter Stats Ranked Rewards Season 39 Report Card

This report card is for Season 39. The season that ended on the 15th of January 2024.
This is two seasons in a row I've been able to break into both Champion III in Wild and Gold II in Modern, which honestly felt so impossible a few months ago. I have a full maxed out collection for Rebellion, and while I'm STILL getting used to the new cards (and all the Chaos Legion cards I've bought recently), I'm definitely seeing some progress.
Interestingly, the actual dollar amount of rewards in the image above, compared with Season 38 is $35.88 versus $25.35... and I'm not super sure what has caused that difference... so let's dig in!

Oh wait... I've figured it out already.
The difference of $35.88 versus $25.35 is:
202 Ranked Play wins versus 178 Ranked Play wins and 64 EoS Loot chests versus 45 EoS Loot chests.
Essentially I played 406 games in Season 38 versus 356 games in Season 39. Obviously 50 more games, particularly at the end of a season have such a massive impact.
Performance-wise, I rated higher in both Wild and Modern these season compared to last, so I'm extremely happy with that. Obviously the headstart I got from the previous season made a huge difference, and so I really do want to hit Champs II in Wild and Gold II or Gold I in Modern each season if I can.

I tried some tournaments for the first time since Chaos Legion came out... and, ah, I'm not sure how much effort I'll put into them going forward.
I was way too enthusiastic and added myself to tournaments I had absolutely no business being in... like when I came 130th out of 153 or 42nd out of 47. I did okay in a couple but I'm not sure the prizes are worth it for me. You have to play a trillion games to complete a tournament, which absolutely felt like a chore because I had entered so many at the same time. While I'm getting 80 SPS per day from Land, it is hard to motivate myself to play 24 or 36 games to maybe win 20 or 30 SPS.... especially since I'm not maxing out my daily energy. If I get about 3 SPS per win in ranked play, then every 12 games I win is about the same as a decent tournament placing.
I'm not saying I'll never play tournaments, but I'm definitely going to be far more selective about them.

As I mentioned at the top, I got 45 End of Season Loot chests this season.
With rewards, the main thing I'm after is the Soulbound cards... so getting 302 cards in Season 39 versus 325 in Season 38 (with 50 more wins and 20 more EoS loot chests) that goes to show that spending more time in higher leagues makes a huge difference. I've still got many, many, many, many reward cards to win before I even come close to maxing any out.
Weirdly I also got maybe double the amount of Legendary potions... hence the 29300 credits versus 18210 last season. I managed to increase my percentage of my Soulbound Reward cards by 4% in both Commons and Rares. That's progress!

I've started renting out some cards again... but I've actually sold a ton of my cards in order to buy missing Chaos Legion cards. I essentially sold all the cards I didn't have max copies of. (I'm keeping all my maxed copies for Land 2.0).
This is from PeakMonsters:

Obviously lots of my rentals went towards land... and all my gold and normal Rebellion cards have gone to the Airdrop Conflicts, so I've only got 81 cards up for rental these days... that amount isn't going to change for 9 months at least.

It's kind of amazing to know that I'm potentially making $20 a day passively... although this was before BTC and SPS slumped a bit, so it's probably around $15 now. Still... amazing.
I also changed Guilds. I was in Immortal Gods II and now I'm in Immortal Gods, which is in Tier 5... so for the longest time I was getting around 65 SPS per season out of brawls and now I'll be making a lot more - that's exciting.
