Australia's highest ranking Catholic, Cardinal George Pell has had his first day in court. A hearing that lasted all of six minutes, and the case has now been adjourned until October. Somehow I think this is going to be a death of a thousand cuts.
Pell, of course, pleaded his innocence. Nobody expected anything else. He was met outside the court by a largely hostile audience along with a few supporters.
As is required under Australian law, Pell is considered innocent until found guilty. Statistics though will work against him.
Stay posted for more as it comes to hand.
