MY VISION BOARD Contest

In response to the invitation of @sofiaquino98 and @geadriana, I am very pleased to participate in the beautiful contest proposed by @jaynie, in which we must create our visual board of goals, aspirations and desires.

I share the first thing I thought when I stopped to reflect about my dreams, goals, desires and aspirations: I want, I wish, I aspire the quality of life that I knew and had long ago and that has been diminished in my country, for all Venezuelans, in these last 20 years.

Atendiendo a la invitación de @sofiaquino98 y de @geadriana, me uno, muy complacida, a participar en el hermoso concurso propuesto por @jaynie, en el que debemos crear nuestro tablero visual de metas, aspiraciones y deseos.

Comparto lo primero que pensé cuando me detuve a reflexionar acerca de mis sueños, metas, deseos y aspiraciones: Quiero, deseo, aspiro la calidad de vida que conocí y tuve hace tiempo y que se ha visto mermada en mi país, para todos los venezolanos, en estos últimos 20 años.

Now, some time ago I made a goal and dream board and I remember that many of the goals I set for myself at that time have been achieved, and also the dreams I had at that time. In addition to obtaining material things like a house, a car and comforts to live peacefully with my affections around.

One of the goals I achieved was to graduate as a teacher, it was the most important because teaching is one of my passions.

One of my dreams was to have a daughter and a family strengthened in love, unity, tolerance and respect. Today I feel lucky because it has been one of my dreams come true.

Ahora bien, hace tiempo hice un tablero de metas y sueños y recuerdo que muchas de las metas que me propuse en aquel momento las he alcanzado, y también los sueños que tenía en ese entonces. Además de obtener cosas materiales como casa, carro y comodidades para vivir tranquila con mis afectos alrededor.

Una de las metas alcanzadas fue graduarme como profesora, era la más importante porque enseñar es una de mis pasiones.

Uno de los sueños era tener una hija y una familia fortalecida en el amor, la unión, la tolerancia y el respeto. Hoy me siento afortunada porque ha sido uno de mis sueños hecho realidad.

When I am a little over a month away from my 50th birthday, my goals, aspirations, dreams and desires are different. My family and their well-being will always be at the top of the list, of course. But, at this moment my deepest desire is to have the health to realize the plans I have for the next 50 years.

For this I must return to exercise with more discipline and continue with a good diet. After the quarantine I want to look for a place to do Pilates and buy a bicycle to ride and at the same time benefit my health.

One of the goals is to continue working to stay active, to undertake and reinvent myself in new activities that mean learning and transformation. I am not afraid of change. Other goals I have set for myself are: learning to draw, studying photography, and also, I want to learn to play the guitar.

Cuando falta un poco más de un mes para cumplir 50 años, mis metas, aspiraciones, sueños y deseos son otros. Siempre estará entre lo principal mi familia y su bienestar, por supuesto. Pero, en este momento mi deseo más profundo es tener salud para realizar los planes que tengo para los próximos 50 años.

Para esto debo retomar con más disciplina los ejercicios y, seguir con una buena alimentación. Luego de la cuarentena quiero buscar un lugar donde hacer pilates y comprarme una bicicleta para pasear y al mismo tiempo beneficiar mi salud.

Una de las metas es seguir trabajando para mantenerme activa, emprender y reinventarme en nuevas actividades que signifiquen aprendizajes y transformaciones. No le temo a los cambios. Otras metas que me he propuesto son: aprender a dibujar, estudiar fotografía y, también, quiero aprender a tocar guitarra.

Another of my dreams is to see my daughter achieve her goals and dreams, to see her graduate (she almost has her degree in hand) and to see her happy, doing what she wants and likes. And since I know that among her plans is to start a family, I dream of having grandchildren and loving them as much as I love her. To teach them the letters and read them stories, to spoil them and share with them sweet and tender moments.

I dream of traveling with my husband on a cruise for our new honeymoon when we turn 30 in two years and I wish that this love that has united us for more than 3 decades will continue to give us happiness until we are old.

I wish to continue enjoying nature, plants with many flowers, the sea and its sunsets, a good conversation between friends with a hot coffee or a good wine.

Otro de mis sueños es ver a mi hija alcanzar sus metas y sueños, verla graduarse (ya casi tiene su título en la mano) y verla feliz, haciendo lo que quiere y le gusta. Y como sé que entre sus planes está formar una familia, sueño con tener nietos y amarlos tanto como la amo a ella. Enseñarles las letras y leerles cuentos, consentirlos y compartir con ellos dulces y tiernos momentos.

Sueño con viajar con mi esposo en un crucero para nuestra nueva luna de miel cuando cumplamos, dentro de dos años, los 30 de casados y deseo que este amor que nos ha unido por más de 3 décadas nos siga dando felicidad hasta que estemos viejitos.

Deseo seguir disfrutando de la naturaleza, de plantas con muchas flores, del mar y sus atardeceres, de una buena conversación entre amigos con un café caliente o un buen vino.

Although in Venezuela some dreams are like an impossible, I have them and I will fulfill them here or wherever. I want a new car, I want to buy back my favorite perfumes, shoes and new clothes. I want family celebrations like before, all together and without worries.

And in 30 years more, I aspire to be a lady of prolonged youth, full of vitality, creative and with energy to continue seeing everything beautiful that life gives me and to enjoy my daughter and her family, my husband in our golden years and the whole family.

Aunque en Venezuela algunos sueños son como un imposible, los tengo y los cumpliré aquí o donde sea. Quiero un carro nuevo, quiero volver a comprar mis perfumes favoritos, zapatos y ropa nueva. Quiero celebraciones en familia como antes, todos juntos y sin preocupaciones.

Y dentro de 30 años más, aspiro ser una señora de juventud prolongada, llena de vitalidad, creativa y con energía para seguir viendo todo lo bonito que me regala la vida y gozar de mi hija y su familia, de mi esposo en nuestros años dorados y de toda la familia.
