Today, on this new Monday of needlework, I come to share something that makes me especially happy. I bring you another bookmark, but this time with a different detail: it is embroidered. For some time now, I had been saving some soluble templates that I had bought in December and which, for one reason or another, were still waiting for their turn. I felt curious, enthusiastic and also a little apprehensive, so I decided to try them out on a small and delicate project like this bookmark.
The idea was to try them out, get a good understanding of how to use them, and calmly see what the final result looked like before I decided to do something bigger. And the truth is that it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The templates turned out to be very easy to work with; they adhere well to the fabric and allow you to embroider with peace of mind, without fear of the design moving or getting lost. That makes the process very enjoyable.

Hoy, en este nuevo lunes de aguja, vengo a compartirles algo que me tiene especialmente contenta. Les traigo otro marcap谩ginas, pero esta vez con un detalle distinto: est谩 bordado. Desde hace rato ten铆a guardadas unas plantillas solubles que hab铆a comprado en diciembre y que, por una cosa o por otra, segu铆an esperando su turno. Sent铆a curiosidad, entusiasmo y tambi茅n un poquito de respeto, as铆 que decid铆 estrenarlas en un proyecto peque帽o y delicado como este marcalibros.
La idea era probarlas, entender bien c贸mo se usan y ver con calma c贸mo se ve铆a el resultado final antes de animarme hacer algo m谩s grande. Y la verdad es que fue una experiencia hermosa de principio a fin. Las plantillas resultaron ser muy f谩ciles de trabajar; se adhieren bien a la tela y permiten bordar con tranquilidad, sin miedo a que el dise帽o se mueva o se pierda. Eso hace que el proceso se disfrute mucho.
As I progressed with the stitches, I realised how neat the embroidery looked. Everything looked clean and tidy, just the way I like it. But the moment that surprised me the most was the end: that moment when the piece is washed, the template material gently dissolves and only the embroidery remains on the fabric. It's almost magical to see it happen.
This little bookmark fulfilled its mission. It allowed me to learn, experiment and gain confidence. Now I feel ready to use these soluble templates on larger projects, with more time and more stitches. Of course, I'll keep you posted on how this embroidery adventure with my fabulous soluble templates continues.
A medida que avanzaba con las puntadas, me fui dando cuenta de lo prolijo que quedaba el bordado. Todo se ve铆a limpio, ordenado, tal como me gusta. Pero el momento que m谩s me sorprendi贸 fue el final: ese instante en el que la pieza se lava, el material de la plantilla se diluye suavemente y queda solo el bordado sobre la tela. Es casi m谩gico verlo suceder.
Este peque帽o marcap谩ginas cumpli贸 su misi贸n. Me permiti贸 aprender, experimentar y ganar confianza. Ahora s铆 siento que estoy lista para usar estas plantillas solubles en proyectos m谩s grandes, con m谩s tiempo y m谩s puntadas. Por supuesto, les voy a ir contando c贸mo sigue esta aventura de bordados con mis fabulosas plantillas solubles.
