Happy day, my dear knitting friends! I hope you鈥檙e all doing well and staying healthy and happy.
Those of us who knit know that this hobby is much more than just a craft. It鈥檚 a passion and a way to relax, express our creativity, and transform simple balls of yarn into something special. Over time, we also develop certain habits that, seen from the outside, may seem curious, but among knitters are completely normal. Today I want to share with you some of my most sincere confessions. And I suspect more than one of you will relate.
I鈥檒l start with one of the most obvious ones: buying yarn without a project in mind. Yes, I buy yarn even when I don鈥檛 have a specific project in mind. Sometimes I fall in love with a color, a texture, or I simply find a deal I can鈥檛 resist. At that moment, I don鈥檛 know exactly what I鈥檓 going to knit, but I鈥檓 sure that eventually I鈥檒l find the perfect idea. For me, every new ball of yarn represents a possibility, an inspiration that patiently waits for its turn.

Quienes tejemos sabemos que este hobby es mucho m谩s que una actividad manual. Es una pasi贸n y una forma de relajarnos, de expresar nuestra creatividad y de transformar simples ovillos de hilo en algo especial. Con el tiempo, tambi茅n desarrollamos ciertas costumbres que, vistas desde afuera, pueden parecer curiosas, pero que entre tejedoras son completamente normales. Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes algunas de mis confesiones m谩s sinceras. Y sospecho que m谩s de una se sentir谩 identificada.
Empiezo por una de las m谩s evidentes: Comprar hilo sin proyecto. S铆, compro hilos, aunque no tenga un proyecto definido en mente. A veces me enamoro de un color, de una textura o simplemente encuentro una oferta imposible de ignorar. En ese momento no s茅 exactamente qu茅 voy a tejer, pero estoy segura de que en alg煤n momento encontrar茅 la idea perfecta. Para m铆, cada ovillo nuevo representa una posibilidad, una inspiraci贸n que espera pacientemente su turno.
Another confession that many of you will surely relate to is that I rarely have just one project in progress鈥擨 always have several knitting projects started at once. Some move along quickly, while others sit untouched for weeks or even months. Depending on my mood, how much time I have, or how focused I feel that day, I choose which one to work on.
The next confession is the one that takes up the most space in my supply boxes: saving every scrap of yarn just in case. It doesn鈥檛 matter if it鈥檚 just a few centimeters; I always think it might come in handy. Maybe for a decorative flower, a pop of color, or some impromptu project in the future. Those little scraps are too precious to part with so easily.
The truth is, I wouldn鈥檛 change any of these habits. They鈥檙e part of the knitting experience, the thrill of creating, and the excitement that comes with every new strand.
Otra confesi贸n que seguramente muchas entender谩n es que rara vez tengo un solo proyecto en proceso, pues siempre tengo varios tejidos empezados. Unos avanzan r谩pido y otros permanecen guardados durante semanas o incluso meses. Dependiendo de mi 谩nimo, el tiempo disponible o el nivel de concentraci贸n que tenga ese d铆a, elijo cu谩l continuar.
La que sigue es la confesi贸n que m谩s espacio ocupa en mis cajas de materiales: guardar todos los restos de hilo por si acaso. No importa si son pocos cent铆metros, siempre pienso que podr铆an servir para algo. Tal vez para una flor decorativa, un detalle de color o alg煤n proyecto improvisado en el futuro. Esos peque帽os sobrantes son demasiado valiosos para despedirme de ellos tan f谩cilmente.
La verdad es que no cambiar铆a ninguna de estas costumbres. Son parte de la experiencia de tejer, de la emoci贸n de crear y de la ilusi贸n que nace con cada nueva hebra.
