Greetings, my dear Hive Ladies. Happy day, I hope you are all doing well and enjoying good health and well-being.

Today I want to share my participation in edition #262 of the contest that the Hive Ladies invite us to participate in every week. On this occasion, I will answer one of the questions proposed by our friend @joanstewart this week:

2️⃣ Household responsibilities and care: in many households, statistics on couples reveal that women continue to do the cleaning, childcare, care for elderly relatives, and household shopping, while their partners are happy to share the expenses. All categories, except for the last one mentioned, are at 50% or more, where women tend to devote themselves exclusively to the home. How are things organized in your home?

Hoy quiero compartir mi participación en la edición #262 del concurso al que nos invitan, semanalmente, las Damas de Hive. En esta ocasión, daré respuesta a una de las preguntas que nos ha propuesto la amiga @joanstewart esta semana:

2️⃣ Responsabilidades y cuidados del hogar : en muchos hogares, las estadísticas sobre la pareja revelan que la mujer continúa con las tareas de limpieza, el cuidado de los niños, la asistencia a los familiares mayores y las compras para el hogar, mientras que su pareja comparte con gusto los gastos. Todas las categorías, excepto la última mencionada, se sitúan en el 50 % o más, donde las mujeres suelen dedicarse exclusivamente al hogar. ¿Cómo se organizan las cosas en tu hogar?

I am answering this question because, coincidentally, this month marks my 33rd wedding anniversary, and it seemed like an appropriate time to share what our experience has been like over so many years. Over time, we have learned to organize ourselves, communicate better, and support each other, building a home in which we both feel like an important part.

In my home, responsibilities are shared and communicated openly. My husband and I try to maintain a balance that allows us to feel comfortable and satisfied with what we contribute to our life together. Every day, we discuss the tasks at hand and distribute them according to the time and energy we have available.

Respondo a esta pregunta porque, justamente, este mes cumplo 33 años de casada, y me pareció un momento oportuno para compartir cómo ha sido nuestra experiencia a lo largo de tantos años. Con el tiempo hemos aprendido a organizarnos, a comunicarnos mejor y a apoyarnos mutuamente, construyendo un hogar en el que ambos nos sentimos parte importante.

En mi hogar las responsabilidades se organizan de manera compartida y con mucha comunicación. Mi esposo y yo procuramos mantener un equilibrio que nos permita sentirnos cómodos y satisfechos con lo que aportamos a la convivencia. Cada día conversamos sobre las tareas pendientes y distribuimos lo que podemos asumir según el tiempo y la energía que tengamos.

Most days, my husband takes care of the cooking. He enjoys it and is very good at it. I, on the other hand, take care of the general tidying and organizing of the house, especially on special occasions. I like the home to look cozy, and when I need it, I can count on his support. We also try to maintain a routine in which we can both rest and enjoy our free time. Sometimes we do chores together, which makes everyday life lighter and more enjoyable.

For us, the key is collaboration, respect, and recognition of what each of us does. This is how we maintain a harmonious environment, valuing each other's efforts in the daily running of the home.

La mayoría de los días mi esposo se encarga de la cocina, lo disfruta y se le da muy bien. Yo, por mi parte, asumo los arreglos y el orden general de la casa, sobre todo en ocasiones especiales. Me gusta que el hogar se vea acogedor y cuando lo necesito, cuento con su apoyo. También tratamos de mantener una rutina en la que ambos podamos descansar y disfrutar del tiempo libre. A veces hacemos las tareas juntos, lo que convierte lo cotidiano en algo más ligero y agradable.

Para nosotros, la clave está en la colaboración, el respeto y el reconocimiento de lo que cada uno hace. Así mantenemos un ambiente armonioso, valorando el esfuerzo de ambos en el funcionamiento diario del hogar.
