When I love, I love with the whole of me. I love with my heart and soul while using my brain. That's just me and I can go to any length for the ones I love.
When we love, sacrifice is inevitable because love comes with a lot of sacrifices. You have to make sacrifices of time, money, take risk and a whole lot.
I have shared in one of my post here, how I got into a huge dept when my mum got sick and we needed money to pay for her surgery and hospital bills. It was a very difficult time for me and my siblings. Because of the love we shared and the sacrifices she had made for us, we had to do all we could to get her back on her feet.
I got into debt that made me run Helter skelter just to pay back to avoid embarrassment. This is one of many just for the people we love and who could also do anything for us as well. I started paying back bit by bit and I got lucky because I didn't expect to be able to settle the debt at the time I did but I did and was glad my efforts were not in vain.
I also had to leave my husband and son behind to go take care of her because she couldn't do anything by herself. For about three weeks, I was there with her until she got better and could walk without any help.
My sacrifices are endless because I'm a mother and a very compassionate person. I hate to see things go wrong when I can do something to help the situation. I don't bother to think, I just go ahead and do the needful. The same way my husband has made a lot of sacrifices for me and the kids.
My marriage have taught me a lot of things and made me sacrifice a lot of things that I wouldn't have imagined or be able to read in books or from another person's experience. the sacrifice we make in relationships are great.
Making a decision to have kids is one thing not everyone can do. I have seen a lot of ladies that have made the decision not to have children and they have lived by it.
Let's consider the pregnancy journey, to the process of delivery, either through normal delivery or Cesarean section. Take for instance the sleepless nights, while nursing a new born, or when they fall sick. Do you want to talk about the process of teething or weaning a child. It's better experienced than imagined.
These are all sacrifices for love and self. You do everything right including what you eat and how you sleep to protect the baby growing inside of you. During this process, your body goes through a whole lot. Your hormones torment you and you keep going. When the child is coming, it's a battle of life and death and you still keep going.
You try everything possible to provide and protect your kids You give them all that they need in life. What sacrifice is greater than this? All brings joy at the end of the day.
Thanks for stopping by, I really appreciate you and I'm looking forward to reading your comments.
