Even though we’re exploring new areas of life and you’ve seen me being a little more absent from social media than I’d like, especially when it comes to talking about technology, we’re still Web3 girls. 🤩
This year, I’ve been participating in communities across Peru and making room for new users to gain visibility and have their work recognized.
I’ve really enjoyed working as a social media manager, and it’s been interesting to highlight the work others are doing. It had been a long time since I last stood in front of an audience to talk about adoption and opportunities for women in the tech ecosystem. So, when I received an invitation from Web3gals to represent them at a Stellar event, it felt great to reconnect with that side of myself.
The gender gap in technical environments like hackathons is still striking. This particular event was a hackathon, and female participation was less than 20%. There were barely three or four women in the room taking part.
That’s why I’m still happy to contribute my little bit to encouraging more women to get involved and, above all, to feel confident and safe doing so. 🙌💜
Because it’s also about opening doors, sharing opportunities, and showing that women have so much to contribute to the tech ecosystem. 🚀

La brecha de género en entornos técnicos como hackatones sigue siendo impactante. Ese evento justamente era una hackaton y la participación femenina no llegaba ni al 20%. En la sala apenas habían 3 o 4 mujeres participando. Así que me sigue dando gusto poder aportar mi granito de arena para que más chicas se animen a participar y sobretodo se sientan seguras de hacerlo. 🙌
