Hello everyone, welcome 👋, this is my post for the Splinterlands Social Media Challenge!

In this challenge, I will show you one of my battles in the Rise of the Champion tournament for the sixth anniversary of Splinterlands, which allowed all players to play with all the cards of each edition at the max level in the Wild Format.

Since the only cards allowed in this battle are the water and neutral cards, I was thinking of using Alric or Valnamor to increase the attack of my magic monsters. But after thinking better, I decided to use The Kraken, which is a powerful card that has 4 points in all its stats except its health which is 14 (even its HP has a 4). And curiously it also has 4 abilities.

The Kraken is good against melee attacks and some ranged attacks, but is very weak against magic attacks or abilities like Stun that can immobilize it. That's why I chose water cards that support it in its disadvantages, so that it won't be defeated easily and can attack without problems.

By the way, it looks like a powerful videogame boss.

Only up to 4 units per player can be used in this battle. And all the monsters will gain +2 armor due to the Armored Up ruleset.

I decided to use Bortus, to protect the Kraken since it is vulnerable to magic attacks. Bortus reduces the attack of all enemy magic monsters by -1.

The Kraken, protagonist of the battle, will be in the first position, of course. All enemy attacks will target it due to its Taunt ability. Additionally, it demoralizes the enemy melee units by reducing their attacks by -1. If the Kraken is damaged, it gains 50% bonus melee attack and speed. And lastly, when hit with a melee attack, it has a 50% chance to attack their attacker.

In the second position, Kelp Initiate, which will remove the Kraken's negative effects, such as poison, each round. Other than that, it will heal a backline ally that has taken the most damage each round, good in case the enemy uses monsters with the scattershot or blast abilities.

In the third position, Merdaali Guardian will heal the Kraken up to a third of its health at most each turn. And will restore a max of 2 armor to the friendly unit whose armor has taken the most damage each turn. And lastly, it will increase the health of all friendly units by +1.

And in the fourth position, Albatross which, like its adjacent ally, will also heal the Kraken each turn. On top of that, Albatross has a 25% bonus chance to evade melee and ranged attacks from non-flying monsters thanks to being able to fly.

In this battle, The Kraken, with the help of its allies was able to withstand enemy attacks and emerge from the battle unscathed. It destroyed all the enemy monsters, but without its allies it wouldn't have been possible, so the credit goes to them too.

I was worried about the Scattershot monsters since they ignore the Kraken's Taunt ability and can attack my backline monsters, but the enemy only used 1, which wasn't enough to defeat my monsters. The enemy monsters were unable to deal much damage, and the Kraken slowly defeated them, thus winning the battle with its supporting allies.
