Dear Ones
This morning i noticed a candy bar wrapper littering the garden (we've had some very windy weather lately) and i recognized the brand as that which 
i pointed it out to him, and we briefly discussed the harmful aspects to physical body and environmental pollution from consuming such junk food. He told me he wants to give them up. i asked how much he pays for them (0.55 BGN), and what they weigh (55 g).
I suggested i make him some healthy alternative and sell to him (once an entrepreneur, always an entrepreneur!). He readily agreed.
So this is what i made.
Ananda Bliss Balls Recipe
130 g sunflower seeds
Whizz in the food processor until semi-fine
Add 96 g dates
86 g with pitts removed (don't forget)
Add to processor
Whizz :-)
Add
53 g peanut butter (100% peanuts)
Whizz
Add
11 g Cacao (100% cacao - organic, i think)
6 g Turmeric powder
Twist of freshly ground black pepper
Whizz
Check consistency, needs to stick together a bit when you shape into balls. This was not sticky enough so i added:
56 g Baba Boyka's homemade fruit preserve
Just about sticky enough, so, shape and roll in coconut flour.
Shaped into 11 Bliss Balls
10 left after i sampled the smallest one.
Average 32.8 g each
What did it cost to make these?
(Approximate costs)
Sunflower Seeds - 0.39 BGN
Dates - 0.75 BGN
Peanut Butter - 0.47 BGN
Cacao, Turmeric, Black Pepper, Coconut flour - 0.95 BGN
Jam - free
Allowance for overheads (electricity, kitchen equipment depreciation etc. :-) - 0.20 BGN
Total - 2.76 BGN total.
Divide by 10 (which have so far survived my appetite :-) and cost is 0.28 each).
What would be a good price to charge?
Well, as the ingredients are way healthier than the junk food bars, and bearing in mind all profits will go to Ananda Bulgaria Foundation, and no cost for labour included, i think 0.6 BGN each would be an fair price (but sold in bulk for all 10 - ie. 6 BGN)
If buying individually, then 1 BGN each.
