The idea of a phone combined a personal computer may seem outlandish around the time when I was a little boy or when TNG was still an entrepreneur's dream, but now its a common commodity for most people on the world albeit expensive. What will come next may be something you already seen? Augmented Reality may be the next step after the smartphone, and it’s already here though primitive. This book goes into brief details about the advancing technology, from its 1950’s past to today and beyond; the difference between augmented, virtual, or mixed reality technologies. Though fair warning, the book can get technical in describing the technology involved that it can be a bit overwhelming, but if you want to read about the practical uses, and there is a lot for industry, this can be an insightful read.
