Yesterday, I posted about my walk around at the Fairlane Town Center at Dearborn, MI. Just as I was leaving the mall it dawned on me that there was another mall I wanted to visit and take a good look around: Great Lakes Outlet Center. It is considered the largest in the state of Michigan. If it is not, it surely is one of the biggest, busiest that I had seen.

Mall is divided into several districts, easy to figure how to get around, when you need to leave, or try to find someone that went on their own. It is that big, and the following attractions makes it huge.

One of the first surprises with the place is an aquarium. Yes, an aquarium. I had to go around the mall once around since my first time seeing the aquarium the lines were ridiculous, but now it is not bad. Regardless, it was crowded, and the hallways we're not wide enough when you had people just standing around taking photos, and it got worse when most of what you can hear is children screaming as parents were too busy looking at phones. For me, the sea and sea life is peace and serene. Not here.

The second surprise is the bowling alley and arcade. This mall was impressive just having an aquarium as it was, but a bowling alley and an arcade to rival Dave and Busters. Though I do find it superior for one reason: pinball. Couple tables of modern pinball machines from Stern. To add the allure of this arcade is the Japanese crane machines; especially, the one filled with giant Kirby plushies. Don't look at me like that!

I'll admit. I been here once, and it was for the Bass Pro shop. It looked rustic and gorgeous if you embrace the outdoor sports lifestyle. We originally, my wife included, went here to look at camping equipment. We did not spend much time as much I originally wanted, but we did came home with an air pump for our air mattress. Otherwise, if you are looking for hunting and fishing equipment you can not go wrong going there.

I honestly hope that I will back at this post, and remind myself why I do not go to malls anymore. Overcrowded, overwhelming, too noisy, and overpriced. I was looking at this small stand that sells nitrogen filled fruit balls; I was curious but not eight dollars curious just so I have a puff of smoke come out of my mouth. If I want that experience, I just want to go outside in the cold and exhale.

I can not wait for the days that get warmer and start walking around on trail paths and parks. Bye bye malls, smell you later!
