This is what I picture them trying to do.
I've been really busy over the weekend and haven't been able to play much since I came back. So I didn't really get any new content to post yet. I did get to catch Pikachu with the hat on during the weekend when I was able to play a little bit!
Yesterday I came back from the store and had my Pokémon GO open to spin a Pokéstop in my path and possibly catch a Pokémon. Then I suddenly saw Exeggutor, Claydol and Xatu at the SAME Pokéstop! That was quite a sight as these are all fully evolved Pokémon. Which don't spawn as often as the first in their evolution line. Of course with the Psychic Spectacular event going on the evolved Psychic-type Pokémon spawn more often than usual and all 3 of them are Psychic.
Since I had all my groceries with me I didn't want to go straight to that Pokéstop to go and catch them. It's not really convenient to catch Pokémon with those groceries in my hands. It was also rather warm and some of my groceries should go in the fridge. So I headed home first and placed my groceries inside. Then I checked and saw all 3 of them were still at that Pokéstop. So I headed back outside and went straight to that Pokéstop to encounter them.
Wow the Exeggutor was at 2361 CP when I encountered it! After catching it I checked appraise to have an idea of its IV, which turned out to be rather low. I keep these wild Pokémon that I encounter with 2000+ CP to place them in some Gyms when my great Gym defenders are currently in Gyms. Sometimes I'm not sure when I could get them back, then I also prefer to place one of those 2000+ CP ones in there since I don't mind if they're gone for a long time.
I managed to catch the Exeggutor and Xatu, but the Claydol unfortunately ran away.
Have you encountered any high CP evolved Psychic-type Pokémon yet during the Psychic Spectacular?
