The day began with great expectations and I was optimistic starting my duties with excitement. Discipleship also involves leadership and as such, in the training I dealt with transfer of leadership, otherwise, succession principles. The older generation must plan for future leaders, those who will succeed them. Therefore, the need for paradigm shift from older generation to younger generation. The youth are the future leaders. I modelled on leadership, showing basic examples of a good leader. I believe if we have good leaders, the church will experience new level of spiritual growth. We are to cultivate a non-threatening environment and plant lively seeds of friendship that would result in fruitful harvest. If we poured into our youth good spiritual virtues, faithfulness, honesty, transparency and love. The future is hopeful. We must love God, love people and make disciples, and Christ is seated as king. As Paul encourages Timothy to teach faithful men who will teach other faithful men.
