One of the greatest advice from the Scriptures is for every mortal is to "Watch your heart with all diligent, for in it is the spring of life" (Prov. 4:23). For one to be successful in life and in particular the Christian faith, the heart must be put in check to avoid confusion during temptation and some tendencies that may arise in order to jeopardize the faith. This was the exhortation the preacher gave the congregants. The cosmic system is full of lust and pride which can easily lure the elect to doubt his relationship with God. The young people were encouraged to be disciplined so as to serve God effectively. And to achieve this goal, he must have a good mentor, accountability partner and dear friend. All this is aimed at maintaining a balanced Christian life. Everyone should see God as a loving father who cares and provides. And He knows that we have need of something. We shouldn't therefore, allow those needs to perturb our relationship with Him. It is my prayers that God will keep us in ministry and make us more fruitful.
