Hiiii everyone~ ^^
Here’s my entry for the Splinterlands Art Contest. I always wanted to draw “Runemancer Florre” but didn’t have any idea how it should be drawn. So as I was looking through the cards to pick one for this week’s contest, an idea popped up! Since there was something like a branch around her neck and body I thought about drawing her portrait as a flower, a pink/violet rose.
Lately, I haven't been really happy with how I've been drawing hair - not as realistic as I wanted... You know, it’s so much easier when I work on my photorealism portraits because there is a reference and I know where each line should go. Working on these pieces is just a bit harder because I need to present my vivid imagination on paper :D. But this time, I just liked how it all turned out - not as realistic as I wanted, but yeah quite satisfying
To make a drawing realistic, we should add details, so I did my best to add as many as I could, like the highlights and little lines in her eyes and on her lips... her eyebrows too!
I used a paper cutter to draw the highlights on her hair and the highlights in her eyes and lips are drawn using a white gelly roll pen.
Material
Prismacolor and Faber-Castell colored pencils on Steinbach paper
Also white pen and paper cutter
