Yesterday morning began with the fact that looking out the window I saw my dog getting out of the booth backwards. I thought it was very strange, it turned out that the dog dragged a hedgehog to the booth.
I don't know why, but the dog hates hedgehogs. I鈥檓 already calling him Hedgehog killer. The current one is the fifth or sixth in a row.
The last hedgehog was lucky. We found him before the dog had time to kill him only gnawed his ear.
The hedgehog was brought home to recover in warmth and peace. By evening, the hedgehog felt better, so after waiting for dark, we let him go to a safe place.
I don't know how to wean a dog from killing hedgehogs. Of course, they are not the most useful creatures in the household, they are carriers of rabies, but they hunt mice and this benefits more than my dog, who only eats, sleeps and howls in the morning with the roosters.
