You left me in the twilight
where silence is entangled in my skin,
like the wind that whispers
an absence I can't understand.
Your footsteps fade away, light,
like shadows playing with the light,
and in this empty house, without dreams,
memory clings, but you are no more.
My eyes search in the mist for your figure,
and the whisper of your name drowns in the sea,
but it is a river of loneliness that murmurs,
broken promises that will never return.
And so in the gloom, I lose myself,
weaving scraps of what was,
