I wanted to tell you
that you don't hurt me anymore,
that I'm happy.
That I've finally let you go,
like a leaf in the river,
leaving behind shadows,
embracing emptiness.
I let you go in silence,
without rancour or sadness,
like the sun peeking through
after the dark laziness.
I want to thank you
for teaching me once again
the strength of my heart.
