Hello everyone, I trust we are all doing well. My name is Ashiru. Welcome to @Hiveopenmic, week 216. I'm super excited to be here. The theme of this week is Ballad Pop. For that reason, I'll be presenting a cover of a song title All By Myself By Celine Dion.
All by myself is a powerful ballad song that speaks about the desire for friendship and the feeling of loneliness. In this song, the singer was telling a story of a person that always feel happy whenever he/she is alone but now they feel isolated and lonely in their loneliness. However, She thinks about all her past friends, and tries to get in touch with them by dialing their telephone number but nobody's home. Now that she has realized that been alone isn't good. She emphasize that love and companionship is the only solution to her loneliness.
This song was originally written by Eric Carmen in 1975 and this song was covered by Celine Dion in 1996. There is many version of this song but this Celine Dion version still remains the best. Her voice really did justice to this song. I personally love this song because the song emphasize on the important of having friends and loving other.
I hope you enjoy my presentation.
LYRICS OF THE SONG:
When I was young
I never needed anyone
And making love was just for fun
Those days are gone
Livin' alone
I think of all the friends I've known
When I dial the telephone
Nobody's home
All by myself, Don't wanna be
All by myself, Anymore
Hard to be sure
Sometimes I feel so insecure
And loves so distant and obscure
Remains the cure
All by myself, Don't wanna be
All by myself, Anymore
All by myself, Don't wanna live
All by myself, Anymore
Thanks for your time on my blog.
