Based on data obtained from an institution called the "Dragonfly Society (IDS)", it is said that the dragonfly species in Indonesia are around 18 families, 167 genera, and 1,125 species, but the data has not yet been collected because there are still updates regarding with research.

This figure is estimated to continue to decrease due to the lack of species that are currently very difficult to find. Will there be new species in the future? This is still a hot topic of discussion among insect researchers in Indonesia.

Due to the influence of nature itself, there continues to be air pollution, either from burning forests or other factory fumes, so that dragonflies will continue to move from their natural habitat to new habitats that still have potentially safe.

No wonder it is so hard to find them today. In the 80s there were still many different species of dragonflies in our area with varying sizes both large and small, and they also appeared to have beautiful and varied colors. But today it is very rarely seen, and what is often encountered is some small species that are blue and red, while others are very rarely seen.

The dragonfly that you see in this post is a dead dragonfly, which I captured in several locations because last night it was seen that it was still fresh and fit to fly in search of prey in the population area.

This morning, he looks stiff with a hardened body that doesn't move at all, meaning that this dragonfly is dead or lifeless.

Around 09.00 WIB he was seen coming from a distance and then heading to our house to reach for something. This kind of behavior is often seen when a dragonfly enters people's houses because he is hooked by the lights or lighting of the residents' houses.

The nature of animals is basically always looking for something that makes them profitable either in safety or food. So if you see a dragonfly entering your house, it is because in your area there are many things that benefit him, such as:

1. The number of mosquitoes is found in a special area that is playing in the light that illuminates your home, such as the lighting of your home.
2. Being a transit location due to a long journey that has not yet reached its destination, since it is night, he will take a short break
3. There is a pool of clean water, and he wants to build a new civilization in your neighborhood.

The three points above that have been mentioned, are interrelated or there is an interesting relationship for the needs of dragonflies.
When in your area there is a pool of flowing water or you could say a small reservoir overgrown with wooden trees on the edges, there will be lots of larvae that will become mosquitoes and there is sufficient lighting which will become a very special land for a dragonfly civilization to be built.
Dragonflies really like areas with water, and they will always choose natural water without any other mixtures of pollution, if this location is occupied it can be concluded that the water in your area is clean and natural.

But unlike the fate of some dragonflies, he has the unlucky fate of having died, this is due to the influence of other animals such as geckos and some species that hunt him, so that some groups are hunting him, he has died or died, as you can see in this post.
