The Basant Kite festival is famous in India and Pakistan, specially in Punjab sides. This is known as seasonal festival. Kite festival has been a historic spring time kite flying. This festival is usually celebrated in the month of February where spring season is started and according to Punjabi calendar it is held in the fifth day of the lunar month.
In India Malwa is the place where this festival took place and in Pakistan Lahore is the place where this festival took place. In this big occasion People gathers for kite flying and other funs, they arrange foods, tea, big sound system for music, dancing and many other.
But in recent years Pakistani government has banned kite festival because many people in Lahore loses their life due to life-threatening substances in the strings and gun firings.
