Sewing a frock for my niece

Hi, 👋hope you all are doing well. This is my first on this community. Today I'm excited😀 to share with you a dress that I made for my niece. For the last few days, she had been asking me to sew it, so decided to make it for her.

Material
Cotton fabric
Thread
Zip(for back clouser)
Lace
Pasting paper (for neckline pattern)
Elastic band (for sleeves and trouser)
I used pink cotton fabric with white contrast.

Procedure
I wanted simple wear so, I only uses white lace to decorate it. First of all. I'm sharing with you it's drafting and cutting. For making petticoat, I draw a pattern of front and back side of it. I did not have chalk so, I used blue pen instead. I wanted half and puff sleeves. Here, I complete cutting of petticoat, sleeves and flare. For trouser, I draw the trouser pattern and cut it accordingly.

Now I'm gonna to stitch frock firstly. I wanted square neck design so, I cut it's pattern on pasting paper. I'm not🤔 sure whatever it's name is square but I'm calling it square😜 because of it's square shape. After cutting pattern, I took a piece of fabric and paste the neck pattern with the help of presser. And then folded the fabric and stitched it's corner. And sew the this neck design at the front side of petticoat, cut the extra fabric.

I use a two pieces of lace on the front part to make it look attractive. At the back side of petticoat I used a zip, we can use button or strips or whatever, it's the matter of one's choice. Here I sew the front and back side together and yeah petticoat is ready.

Now it's turn of sleeves. I want puffy sleeves so I used elastic band inside the casing and sew the one end of elastic. Then I make the puff that I want and attached the sleeves to the petticoat. After ironing you can see top part of frock is ready.

Now I attached the bottom part with it and made pleats of the bottom fabric. At same pattern I attached back side of bottom part then sew the fitting stitch. Then I finished the hem stitch and use Ince for decoration. After ironing our frock is ready.

For trouser stitching. I used elastic for waistband and sew the elastic in the fabric. Now I stitch the bottom edge of the trouser and iron it. Then I stitch the fitting line of the trouser.

When the frock was ready, I felt something was missing🤔, so I made a small flower and attached it, which made it look even more😃 beautiful.

She was very 🥰 happy to wear it. After wearing it she gave some poses, and I took her 😜pictures.
