HELLO!

My dear fellow steemians, today I would like to share to you a picture I captured a few months ago at a golf course.

Mushrooms are a type of fungi that have a stem (stipe), a cap (pileus), and gills (lamellae) on the underside of the cap. These gills produce microscopic spores that help the fungus spread across the ground. They usually grow in cool and damp places. While there are few edible species of mushroom. There are many that might be poisonous and potentially fatal.

Identification Of Poisonous Mushrooms:

Although no one can tell just by seeing if the mushroom is poisonous. But I have listed a few points that might be helpful.

POISONOUS MUSHROOMS:

Mushrooms with white gills.
Mushrooms with bulbous sack like base.
Mushrooms with Red caps.

Usually Mushrooms that grow on wood might be safe. However, it's always better to take precautions!

What are the symptoms of mushroom poisoning?

Poisoning by psychotropic types may cause Hallucinations, confusion, muscle weakness, increased heart rate and even DEATH!
Many poisonous mushrooms cause gastrointestinal symptoms, such as nausea, vomiting, stomach cramps and diarrhea.
The Toxin of Amanita phalloides can cause liver and kidneys to shut and may cause death within 48 hrs of ingestion while symptoms already appear within 6 to 24 hrs.
