CONCEPTO - CONCEPT
It is a pleasure to greet you again, I was very busy these days with work and had not had time to upload anything, but in the little free time I had I managed to draw a little and I was also creating a painting with a somewhat scary aspect I really loved it, the inspiration came to me on one of these nights when I was in the garden and I lit an oil lamp and I thought, and if I do a painting on lamps in the dark ?, then I wanted to add a magic touch and It occurred to me to make a sorceress who creates lamps with her magic. Sounds good, doesn't it? Well, for some reason I ended up giving her a name "Sara" the creator of lamps.
Es un gusto volver a saludarlos, estuve muy ocupado estos días con el trabajo y no había tenido tiempo de subir nada, pero en el poco tiempo libre que tuve logre ponerme a dibujar un poco y también estuve creando una pintura con un aspecto un tanto tenebroso que la verdad me encanto, la inspiración me vino en una de estas noches en la que estaba en el jardín y encendí una lámpara de aceite y pensé, y si hago una pintura sobre lámparas en la oscuridad?, luego quise agregarle un toque mágico y se me ocurrió hacer una hechicera que crea lámparas con su magia, suena bien no?, bueno y por alguna razón al final termine dándole un nombre "Sara" la creadora de lámparas.
PROCESO - PROCESS
With the concept in mind I started designing the face, being a sorceress I imagined that it would look out of the ordinary so I began to throw colors on the canvas and to my surprise a face was created as if by magic. I was detailing little by little and I came up with a detail at the end, that of leaving him without pupils, because, all magic has its price, right?
Ya con el concepto en la mente empecé diseñando el rostro, al ser una hechicera imaginaba que sería de un aspecto fuera de lo común así que empecé a tirar colores en el lienzo y para mi sorpresa se fue creando como por arte de magia un rostro que fui detallando poco a poco y se me ocurrió un detalle al final, el de dejarlo sin pupilas, porque, ¿toda magia tiene su precio no?
At first I was just thinking about drawing the face but then I wanted to add hands to hold something that I thought would be a lamp, I struggled a lot with different shapes and poses at the end I opted for a simple approach.
Al principio pensaba solo dibujar el rostro pero luego quise agregarle manos que sostuvieran algo que pensé que sería una lámpara, batalle mucho con diferentes formas y poses al final opte por un enfoque sencillo.

Years ago there was a time when I saw many tutorials on fire design as well as explosions and since then I have always liked to paint them.
First I start by creating a base shape of the fire in red color to which I then add some yellow (although it also works well with other colors such as blue or purple) and with this it looks like fire to me, but a trick I learned was to duplicate the layers and add "Gaussian blur" this takes it to another level, then I added shadows and highlights and voila, we have fire !!

hace años hubo un tiempo en el que vi muchos tutoriales sobre diseño de fuego como también de explosiones y desde entonces siempre me ha gustado pintarlos.
Primero empiezo creando una forma base del fuego en color rojo al que luego añado algo de amarillo (aunque también queda bien con otros colores como azul o violeta) ya con esto se ve como fuego para mí, pero un truco que aprendí fue a duplicar las capas y agregarle “desenfoque gausiano” esto lo lleva a otro nivel, luego añadí sombras y luces y listo, ¡tenemos fuego!!
Aquí agregue un poco de humo saliendo de las llamas para integras todos los componentes de la escena.
Here add some smoke coming out of the flames to integrate all the components of the scene.
Well we already have the sorceress, but where are the lamps? Well, we are going to create them, I design the shape with a "lineart" to which I then proceed to add opaque colors and create a metal effect, at first I wanted something like gold, but I ended up looking more like brass in my opinion.
Bien ya tenemos la hechicera, ¿pero y donde están las lámparas?? pues ya las vamos a crear, diseño la forma con un "lineart" al que luego procedo a agregarle colores opacos y crear un efecto de metal, al principio quería algo como oro, pero termino quedándome más parecido al latón a mi parecer.
And to finish I add the fire to the lamps and create some brightness and colors to bring everything together, always give great importance to the details.
ya para finalizar agrego el fuego a las lámparas y creo algunos brillos y de colores para juntar todo, préstenle siempre mucha importancia a los detalles.
And so quickly we have our illustration finished, honestly for me the magic feels just seeing it and I think I will do more like this painting in the future, I hope you liked it, until next time !!
