Next time when you visit Sabah..you must try this. Sago Worm is known as Butod locally. It's our traditional food (Borneo). Though not all locals eat them due to it's appearance, but believe me.. It tasted good :)
The taste is depends on which type of wood those butod eat. If it's from a sago tree, it tasted like creamy butter and it tasted better when they are fried. If it's from a palm or coconut type trees, they tasted like creamy coconuts.
BBQ Butod are delicious and the aroma is sometimes better than the taste. Butod always makes me nostalgic for some reason. It鈥檚 so YUMMY! 馃構 馃構
